Systems Administrator

​

We are seeking to welcome a Mid-Level Systems Administrator. The Senior Systems Administrator interfaces regularly with other IT Operations Administrators, Network Administrators and Technical Services leadership, and is responsible for the installation, monitoring and support of client facing systems in our IT infrastructure environment. 

Additional duties consist of standard Enterprise IT infrastructure support of Servers and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

  • Hands on administration of all IT infrastructure related services with a focus on – though not exclusively – compute, networking, identity, and VMware services; to include tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed

  • Hands on administration of Windows virtual environment to include management of GPOs, troubleshooting and resolving OS level issues; to include tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed

  • Hands on administration of all backup and patching activities for the IT Infrastructure.

  • Routine auditing, and proactive assessment of, the IT infrastructure environment in order to continuously, and systematically, identify opportunities for improvement, service enhancement, and cost optimization for the business

  • Continual assessment and management of risk within the IT infrastructure environment and remediation of identified vulnerabilities and risks

  • IT Infrastructure backup and disaster recovery capabilities; ensuring on and offsite backups, redundancy, and high availability of all resources is optimized and maintained in order to minimize downtime and maximize recoverability

  • Supporting secure identity management and authentication capabilities via centralized authentication mechanisms; SAML, Kerberos, LDAP, and/or federation

  • Additional duties as assigned, ability to work with minimal supervision, and availability to work night and weekend hours as required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or 7 or more years of equivalent experience

  • 4-5 years or more of hands-on experience in supporting applications and functions in a IT Infrastructure environment

  • 3 years or more of hands-on experience in Windows system administration

 

Preferred Skills

  • Strong experience in implementing, monitoring and maintaining Microsoft and VMware data center solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security

  • Strong knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery and high availability for Microsoft and IT server environments

  • Windows Server creation, configuration, upgrade, migration and patching

  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT Server environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc

  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot Windows server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resources

  • Strong understanding and background of working with a complex Active Directory, LDAP and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures, and processes

  • Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos and Windows Authentication

  • Knowledge of modern Windows operating systems.

  • Excellent PowerShell skills

Data center and Azure Systems Administrator

​

The Azure Systems Administrator interfaces regularly with other Systems Administrators, Network Administrators and Technical Services leadership, and is responsible for the installation, monitoring and support of client facing systems in Azure, cloud-based technologies and our traditional data centers. 

​

Additional duties consist of standard Enterprise Data Center support of Servers and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

  • Enhancing current Azure cloud environments

  • Monitoring and enhancing the security of Azure environments

  • Evaluating and automating the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environments

  • Ensuring federated access across Active Directory and Azure AD

  • Troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.

  • Implementing new environments in the Azure cloud

  • Working with application teams to integrate Azure infrastructure components into Venture Global LNG’s processes and procedures

  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Availability to work night and weekend hours on occasion as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or 7 or more years of equivalent experience

  •  5 years or more of experience in supporting applications and functions in the Azure Cloud

  • Certification(s) related to the cloud environment preferred, such as MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure (Microsoft), CCNA Cloud (Cisco)

Network Engineer

​

We are seeking to hire a Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture, an passion for security and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)

  • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices

  • Manage firewalls

  • Monitor network performance and integrity

  • Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure

  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness

  • Mentor team members on technical issues

  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

  • Communicate with users when needed

  • Maintain complete technical documentation

  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or management information systems

  • 6-7 or more years of industry-related experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator

  • Professional certification preferred (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)

  • Solid background in network administration and architecture

  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)

  • Familiarity with access control models and network security

  • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)

  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)

Solution Architect - Applications

​

Architect is a critical role in the solution implementation lifecycle cutting across all phases. Architects are technical leaders with strong understanding of technology and ability to apply it to drive business outcomes. Architects provide guidance for the solution definition, architectural assistance, technical delivery for the top critical cloud solution implementations 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment​ 

  • Proactively identify opportunities for integrating modern architecture patterns and emerging technical solutions into the current design 

  • Evaluate, identify, mitigate and eliminate risk, provide guidance, and propose immediate solutions 

  • Comfortable and effective communicator with all stakeholders, including senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, Developers, Data Scientists, and IT Management 

  • Lead deep technical architecture discussions and development of POCs 

  • Work with multiple customers to create Proof of concepts (POCs) / Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) etc. and guide customers to production deployment and operationalization.​  

  • Apply technical knowledge and expertise to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create solution roadmaps, drive POCs and MVPs, and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key technologies where appropriate 

  • Collaborate with other Architects and technology stakeholders to develop complex end-to-end Enterprise grade solutions.​  

  • Create exceptional cross-team collaboration and communication. Partner with all required Microsoft stakeholders and partners to drive role clarity, account coverage, project assignment and effective cross-team collaboration  

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality production deployments that are resilient and successful  

  • Coach and enable your team members to accelerate innovation programs to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, blocker escalations, and technical resource orchestration. 

 

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)

  • OR equivalent experience.

Application Development  

  • Extensive experienced in implementing, operating, customizing, tuning and troubleshooting Cloud solutions.

Architecture Design and Deployment

  • Is an expert at Microsoft Azure platform, its services and preferably atleast one competitive cloud platform

ACAI Partner Architect

 

Microsoft’s ACAI Domain Infrastructure Global Delivery Practice team is aligned with the Infrastructure Solution Area and brings delivery capability focused on designing and implementing solution to fit with business requirements and customer initiatives. The solution architect also helps customers to maximize the potential of their infrastructure by measuring their performance, taking tactical and strategic decision based on discoveries and assessment of the environments.

Responsibilities

The focus of the Partner Architect role is to jointly work with Microsoft Domain Solution Architect (DSA) to Make the Market and drive Digital Transformation and Modernization Solutions with deeper focus on the Technology and Service Offerings that are specific to each of the Microsoft Consulting Services Domains. The Partner Architect plays a key role in driving the entire lifecycle of large and complex projects, and responsible for architectural and technical success for our customers. They will jointly work with Microsoft DSA in identifying and creatively solving complex customer problems, envisioning, and enabling critical processes, and fundamentally helping the customer to achieve their objectives.

The Architects responsibilities will include:

  • Drive & Accelerate production-level Cloud Solutions in line with Customer and Microsoft strategy.

  • Providing customer guidance during envisioning solution & benefits, defining workloads & methodology, project scope and sizing.

  • Drive a positive Customer Experience by providing high quality delivery on strategic, complex deals, demonstrate Technical Leadership: Create Clarity, Generate Energy and Deliver Success

  • Leverages a structured approach to Architecture Projects using Agile methodologies that make use of existing reference architecture and established architectural styles and design patterns.

  • Contributes to definition and documentation of the Architecture through an architecture description document, and architecture decisions log to communicate the value proposition of the business solution along with the project approach.
